A real estate agent since 2008, Gretchen always places her clients first. Each of her clients, whether moving across the ocean or across town, benefit from her exceptional work ethic, and her wide range of personal and business experience. She has experience in market challenges for both home owners and buyers.
Gretchen's hard work, positive attitude, integrity and dedication to service has resulted in her status as the number one agent in the Chapel Hill office from 2018-2020. Happy clients are the true source of her success, most of which are repeat and referrals from past clients.
Her market focus covers the towns and neighborhoods in Orange, Durham and Chatham counties, with a special interest in Chapel Hill, city of Durham, and golf resort communities.
Gretchen knows about being a newcomer to a town. A native of the Northeast, Gretchen has managed no fewer than five relocations for her own family. For clients new to the area, she is a source of abundant and client-tailored information. She quickly turns outsiders into insiders.
When working with long-time Triangle residents, Gretchen enjoys sharing fresh perspectives as well as her accumulated knowledge from ten years in North Carolina.
Using her background as an NYC-based commodity analyst, she believes that clients deserve more research, more accountability, and more access to data. She listens carefully to identify clients’ needs and priorities. Her clients develop the knowledge and confidence to make sound real estate decisions. Teaming with industry specialists, she ensures successful and smooth transactions for her clients.
Whether marketing a property for sale or guiding a buyer in a purchase, Gretchen’s goal is to exceed clients’ expectations. For buyers, her extensive research and review of the local market enable her to identify opportunities, understand property values and negotiate effectively. When marketing homes for sale, she takes a hands-on approach. The property is attractively positioned to generate more interest, more traffic, and more showings. Representing her client's fiduciary interests in all aspects of a transaction is her prime focus.
Gretchen gives back to the communities she serves. She is involved with both of the Durham and Orange County Habitat for Humanity groups and The Food Bank of North Carolina. Gretchen demonstrates her dedication to building a safe and secure future for families in need through annual contributions.
When not focused on real estate, Gretchen enjoys spending time with her husband of 30+ years, Ed, and their daughters, Fiona, a graduate of Elon University and Liv who is attending North Carolina State University. The family loves international travel, taking advantage of her husband and daughters’ dual U.S. and Italian citizenships and their foreign language capabilities.
